David Harrison
David Harrison
CEO

David Harrison is Chief Executive Officer of Certek Group. With extensive experience in corporate finance, M&A and scaling businesses, he has a proven track record of delivering growth through strategic acquisitions and operational excellence.

David began his career at Mitie, before moving into financial services with roles at Citi, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Goldman Sachs. In 2016, he launched the UK headquarters of a US-based family office, focusing on global acquisitions in compliance, healthcare, IT, and insurance. In 2019, he co-led a management buyout (MBO), founding Phenna Group, where he helped complete 50+ acquisitions, achieving significant growth before its £1.2bn sale to Oakley Capital in 2022.

With Certek, David aims to build a market-leading TICC platform, partnering with specialist firms to provide investment, expertise, and long-term strategic growth. He is ACCA-qualified, a CFA Charterholder, and lives in Jersey with his wife and three children.

Jamie Hall
Jamie Hall
COO

Jamie Hall is Chief Operating Officer of Certek Group. He has extensive leadership, transformation, and operational experience across regulated B2B services, including energy, utilities, property, and sustainability. He has built and scaled high-performing organisations in complex, compliance-focused environments and now applies this expertise within the Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Compliance (TICC) sector.

Previously, Jamie served as COO of a private equity-backed energy services consultancy, where he led the integration of seven acquisitions, implemented a new corporate strategy, and delivered major performance improvements. He has a strong track record in leading large-scale transformation programmes, strengthening customer service, and improving operational efficiency.

At Certek, Jamie plays a central role in shaping the Group’s strategy and operating model, working closely with management teams to drive performance, support growth, and deliver long-term value. He holds an MSc in Civil Engineering and lives in Surrey with his wife and two daughters.

William Winter
William Winter
CFO

Will Winter is Chief Financial Officer of Certek Group. A Chartered Accountant, he spent 16 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, working across audit, risk advisory and broader advisory services, including capital markets transactions.

Outside of practice, Will has held a range of senior finance roles in both listed and private equity–backed businesses. These include Group Financial Controller at Sage plc and Director of Group Finance at Exova plc. Following Exova’s acquisition by Element Materials Technology, he held senior finance, operational and transformation roles, most recently within the Built Environment sector.

Will leads Certek’s group finance function and supports its growth strategy and integration across the business. He qualified with ICAS, holds an MEng in Civil Engineering, and lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife and three children.

Miles Szabo
Miles Szabo
Head of M&A

Miles Szabo is Head of M&A at Certek Group. He has extensive experience in M&A, investment and buy-and-build strategies across the TICC sector.

Miles began his career at Macquarie Capital in M&A and investment roles in business services, infrastructure and retail sectors. He obtained significant experience in TICC with LRQA where he supported strategic acquisitions, and subsequently at Phenna Group, working with senior leadership to originate and execute over 20 transactions.

At Certek, Miles is responsible for identifying strategic acquisitions and investment opportunities for the group. Having driven multiple buy and build strategies to date, he supports Certek’s partner businesses to achieve their growth plans. Over his career, Miles has completed more than 60 acquisitions.

Emmanuel Amos
General Counsel

Emmanuel Amos is General Counsel of Certek Group. With over 20 years' experience as a corporate lawyer, he supports Certek on the full spectrum of legal and compliance matters and the execution of its acquisition growth strategy. He also focuses on key integration across the business.

Having worked previously in the corporate teams of international law firms in London and Singapore, Emmanuel has extensive experience executing cross border M&A, including numerous transactions in the TICC sector.

Emmanuel is admitted to practice law in England and Wales and New Zealand. In his spare time, he enjoys fitness, music and spending time outdoors with his family.
